How to play

2. Hold

Keep it for 8 hours. If nobody takes it, you win the pot minus the next seed (2 XCH, or 1% if the pot is bigger).

3. Get paid

Every later steal this season pays your seats. The first thief of the season is the starter and keeps 1% on every steal after that.

Who does what

Holder

Has the potato right now. Their clock is running. They cannot steal from themselves. Last 8 hours and they win.

Starter

Whoever makes the first steal of a season. They get 1% of every later steal that season, even if they lose the potato.

Founder

Baked in at launch. Gets 0.1% of every steal forever. If a leftover sits empty through grace (30 days from the first empty half), they can take it.

Rules

  1. Steal costs 14.1% of the live pot. 8% stays in the pot. 5% is split equally among every steal this season (steal twice, two seats, paid as one coin). 1% goes to the season starter. 0.1% goes to the founder.
  2. First steal of a season names the starter. They keep that 1% on every later steal this season. If nobody steals, there is no starter.
  3. Hold 8 hours and you win. After the clock, a played season cannot be stolen — only paid out. The site pays the champion and starts the next season. You do not have to come back. Next seed is 2 XCH, or 1% of the pot if that is larger. Tiny pots reseed at 1% of themselves.
  4. Starts at 2 XCH, same as Chia’s first block reward. An empty season halves after a full hold clock, four times: 2 → 1 → 0.5 → 0.25 → 0.125, then it stays. Steal still works. If 8% of the pot is 0 mojos, a steal relights the table at 2 XCH. After 30 days from the first empty half, the founder can take whatever is left.
  5. Two people racing the same steal are spending the same coin. Only one lands. A higher fee is how you cut the line in that block.
